The kitchen table - Chardin |
The Museum itself houses 102 paintings, which are hung chronologically. The museum is worthy of a visit, it has some interesting paintings of well known artists, notably Chardin and Corot.

This is in my opinion the best commercial gallery in Aude. It's on the right of the road leading up to the Cité. It exhibits excellent contemporary paintings, sculpture and photography in a spacious and well lit gallery, on two floors. |

the "exhibition of Joe Bousquet and his period " is open Tuesday to Saturday from 2-7.30.

The Groupe Pictor is a departmental association for the arts . It regularly exhibits the work of local artists and sculptors. The quality of the work varies; but there is always something for everyone's taste.

| The place is difficult to find, once in Trebes walk along the canal where the shops are and, on the opposite side you will see a very large boat hire centre. When you are almost opposite this, look to your right and you'll see what looks like a sports centre and in the Admin part of this building you'll find the exhibition space. |

Situated in the village of Sainte Colombe sur l'Hers (department Aude in the south of France), the centre for contemporary art Cat'Art has been created to offer professional artists opportunities of residences, and professional or non professional artists, courses and workshops. This private structure is managed by the association Cat'Art.
