3 walks in the garrigue to find the capitelles

Capitelle = a dry stone shelter built at the end of the 19th century
Wear good strong shoes as the tracks are very stony.

1 - La plaine de Caucalière
The longest of the walks, the signs are difficult to follow
2 - Les murailles d'Aribaud
A short pleasant walk around the best capitelles of Conques.
3 - Le ruisseau de la garrigue
Try this short walk before or after the last one.

Access by car from Carcassonne :
follow the direction Conques-sur-Orbiel, do not enter Conques but continue on the D118, then take a small road on the left marked "capitelles".
Follow this road for 3 km then turn right onto a dirt road until you reach the parking about 700m
